About PCKS Kids

In 2010, PCKS took a new step towards developing its children's ministry by hiring a part-time Director of Children's Ministry. Tara Smith (wife of Andrew, the PCKS pastor, and mother of Fiona and Duncan) is excited to reach out into the community of Kennett Square and to see children grow in their appreciation for and understanding of our amazing God.

 

We've launched a variety of outreach and discipleship programs for kids over the past several months, including Storykeepers on Sundays, Summer Arts Splash (our version of the traditional VBS), and First Friday Art Splash programs.

 

In all of our children's programs our prayer is that families will grow together as they share what they learn about God and see God at work in their lives day by day.

 

As a church community, we seek to nurture and encourage every child as they learn and grow - socially, mentally, emotionally, and physically as well as spiritually.

 

We design each program and event with the following goals:

To build relationships and have fun together as we learn about God.

To teach the truth as we explain the Bible and how it makes a difference in our lives.

To be real as we live out the Christian life in community - sharing our joys as well as our challenges as we support and encourage one another.
