OUR MISSION
With a clear
and compelling vision of the church, we believe it is our responsibility
and privilege to:
WORSHIP
- Foster an atmosphere of prayerful communion with God where
thankful, jubilant worship and praise of Him is accompanied
by obedient response to the ministry of the Word of God.
NURTURE
- Provide an environment and supporting programs so that each
person is affirmed, cared for, encouraged to grow, and trained
to serve others in Christs name wherever called, through
biblically-based teaching and involvement in small groups.
WITNESS
- Reach out with authority and compassion to our local community
and the world around us with the prophetic, life-giving healing
message and works of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
When they
saw Him, they worshipped Him... then Jesus came to them and
said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given
me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations baptizing
them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded
you, and surely I am with you always to the very end of the
age."
Matthew 28:17-20
OUR VISION
-What
we are by faith becoming-
We are an
evangelical community of faith - a praying people vitally connected
to one another in Jesus Christ, gladly acknowledging Him as
Savior, Lord, and head of the Church, and eagerly anticipating
His return in glory and power. We come together to worship God
- to celebrate His goodness and faithfulness. We reach out to
others, by word and deed, encouraging them to become followers
of Christ and participants in the full life of the church.
We live
and minister in the power of the Holy Spirit, according to the
gifts and abilities given to us individually and corporately.
We are all equipped and freed to carry out our particular serving
roles with joy and effectiveness, through the teaching of the
Word of God and the faithful oversight of our church leadership.
Growing together in our love of God and our neighbors, we are
known as a church where people are warmly received into the
healing and liberating fellowship of Christs body.
"...
to prepare Gods people for works of service, so that the
body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the
faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature,
attaining to the whole measure of fullness of Christ... From
Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting
ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does
its work."
Ephesians 4:12,13,16
